A winged Cupid (or putto/angel) walking right, scattering roses and lilies (symbolizing the union of the English rose and French lily).

Charles I on horseback trampling discarded arms.

Heavenly hand binding together the rose of England and thistle of Scotland.

By Thomas Simon, commemorates the extinction of the rebellion in Scotland in 1639. Three examples with this die pairing are known - one in gold owned by George III with the same strike weaknesses, a sharper struck second example in silver (both in the British Museum), and this one.
