Issues are identified by an "A" mintmark and have features associated with Bristol-mint dies - the Bristol garrison and mint workers had relocated to Ashby-de-la-Zouch Castle in September 1645. Original production is estimated at under 2,000 coins with about 20-30 surviving. Issues include Halfcrowns, Shillngs, Groats and Threepences.

Colchester Castle

Colchester was originally thought to have produced coinage during the siege in the summer of 1848 during the Second Civil War, but it is now believed all pieces were produced at a later time.

Scarborough Castle

In operation from early 1648 to early 1649 during an 11 month siege, surrendering December 22, 1648. Issues are generally lozenge or octagonal pieces with a crude representation of the castle and a denomination, but appear to also have struck the Fortuna issues without a denomination. Original production is estimated at 250-500 pieces with a denomination, with about 15-22 surviving. Issues include Halfcrowns, Shillings, and a very low number of gold pieces.
